Kimono de Jack. Follow us on Twitter!

About Kimono de Jack:

Kimono de Jack was started by eleven kimono lovers in Kyoto, Japan. They loved the kimono very much and felt there was a need to create opportunities to wear the wonderful garments of Japan. They advertised through Twitter, hoping to "jack" or occupy a place and have fun in kimono. The first Kimono de Jack was held in Kyoto on May 7th, 2010 and over 40 kimono lovers attended. The event made the local magazine, and more Kimono de Jack dates were held. Since then, Kimono de Jack has rapidly grown all over Japan to include Fukuoka, Tokyo, Gunma, Aichi, Yamaguchi, and others!

Those interested may come at any time, and leave at any time. There are no rules. Please wear kimono as you like!

However, we would like to take a moment to explain something for the safety of our participants- please remember the climate when selecting your apparel- in Florida, the climate is different from that of the current kitsuke seasons in Japan. Please be safe and dress for comfort, and not presicely by the kitsuke calendar. We want everyone to everyone to enjoy themselves and have a good time. Thank you!
